Prodigy.Fi Product 101 Series: Earning Yield with ETH, WBTC, PENDLE, and More

Welcome to the seventh edition of the Prodigy.Fi Product 101 Series — your go-to guide to all things Prodigy.Fi. New here? Glad to have you with us! You can browse our previous editions to get all caught up, and you can find them here.

In this instalment, we break down the assets you can use on Prodigy.Fi, what makes them unique, and most importantly, how to leverage them for yield generation, no matter which way the market moves.

When it comes to making your crypto work for you, the choice of assets matters. At Prodigy.Fi, we have built a platform that supports a wide range of tokens across Base and Berachain — each unlocking opportunities for yield through our Dual Currency Investment (DCI) vaults.

Let’s dive in!

Key Takeaways

Prodigy.Fi supports a wide range of assets on Base and Berachain, from ETH, AERO, and cbBTC to WETH, WBTC, and BERA, giving you plenty of flexibility to deploy your capital.

Wrapped tokens like WETH and WBTC bring native assets into DeFi, unlocking new yield opportunities without sacrificing exposure to the original coins. Additionally, native ETH is supported on the Base network.

By subscribing to DCI vaults with these assets, you can earn yield whether the market moves in your favour or not, making your crypto work harder for you.

With more tokens set to be supported soon, ProdigyFi continues to expand your options for tailored, yield-driven strategies.

A Multichain Playground: Base and Berachain

Prodigy.Fi currently operates on Base, Coinbase’s Ethereum Layer 2, and Berachain, a high-performance EVM-compatible chain. This means you can deploy strategies across two powerful ecosystems, each with its own set of supported assets.

The Assets You Can Use And Why It Matters

Here’s a quick rundown of all the assets available on Prodigy.Fi.

On Base:

  • ETH: Ethereum’s native token, widely used in DeFi, staking, and collateral strategies.
  • AERO: The governance and utility token of Aerodrome, Base’s leading DEX with vote-lock incentives.
  • VIRTUAL: Powers AI agents and transactions within the Virtuals Protocol.
  • cbBTC: Coinbase’s bridged Bitcoin, bringing BTC liquidity directly onto Base.
  • LINK: Chainlink’s native token, securing decentralised oracles and smart contract data feeds.
  • AAVE: Used for governance and staking in the Aave lending ecosystem.
  • CRV: Curve Finance’s governance and incentive token, central to stablecoin swaps.
  • AIXBT: Index token that tracks a diversified basket of Bitcoin assets, letting you capture BTC exposure in one asset.
  • KAITO: Drives decentralised AI research and machine learning use cases.
  • PENDLE: The native token of Pendle, powering future yield trading and fixed income markets in DeFi.

And on Berachain:

  • WETH: A wrapped version of ETH, used for smart contract compatibility.
  • WBTC: The first ERC-20 token fully backed 1:1 by Bitcoin, making BTC composable across DeFi.
  • BERA: The native gas and governance token of the Berachain blockchain.

Each of these assets can be deployed into Prodigy.Fi’s DCI vaults.

Using These Assets to Earn Yield

With Prodigy.Fi, you can take any of these supported assets and put them to work in DCI vaults that let you generate yield regardless of market direction.

Pick Your Strategy: Sell High or Buy Low

When you subscribe to a DCI vault, you typically pick between two strategies:

  • Sell High: You commit your token of choice (say ETH) with a target to sell it at a higher price by a set date. If the price hits your target, your ETH is sold at that price plus you earn additional yield.
  • Buy Low: You commit USDC aiming to buy the asset at a lower price. If the price drops to your target, you buy in at a discount and still earn yield.

Yield In All Scenarios

Let’s run through a quick example.

Say Brodigy Bob selects an ETH/USDC vault on Base, deposits 0.1 ETH, and chooses a Sell High strategy. If ETH climbs above his target price by expiry, his ETH is sold at that level, and he earns his agreed APY on top. If it doesn’t hit the target, he keeps his ETH and still earns interest on his ETH. Either way, Brodigy Bob’s asset is generating yield.

This is how Dual Investment flips the usual “buy and hold” on its head. You’re actively putting your tokens to work, with structured payouts tied to market outcomes.

Why Use Different Assets? Flexibility & Tailored Market Views

The wide range of supported tokens on Prodigy.Fi isn’t just for show. It means:

  • You can deploy ETH or WETH for typical DeFi and staking-driven exposure.
  • Use WBTC or cbBTC to keep your Bitcoin earning yield on-chain.
  • Try AERO, CRV, AAVE, or LINK to stay close to DeFi’s biggest protocols.
  • Go for PENDLE if you believe in yield tokenisation’s future.

Take Brodigy Bob, for example. He’s deep into DeFi, actively manages multiple positions, and loves experimenting with protocols like Aave and Pendle. On Prodigy.Fi, he might use his AAVE or PENDLE to subscribe to vaults that let him keep earning while maintaining exposure to the projects he already supports.

Meanwhile, Brodigy Sally prefers a more conservative approach. She’s been holding ETH for a while and doesn’t want it sitting idle. By depositing her ETH to a Prodigy.Fi vault, she can earn passive yield regardless of short-term price swings, which is a perfect strategy for her cautious style.

Whether you’re like Brodigy Bob, Brodigy Sally, or somewhere in between, Prodigy.Fi’s broad set of supported assets gives you the flexibility to match your strategies to your unique market view and risk profile.

And yes, we will be adding even more tokens over time.

Prodigy.Fi’s Dual Investment vaults are designed to be simple: pick your asset, set your target, earn yield. Whether it’s ETH on Base, WBTC on Berachain, or any of the other supported tokens, your crypto doesn’t have to sit idle.

It’s your portfolio, your market view, and now, your opportunity to make every asset work a little harder.
