A $1,999 foldable sold out its pre-orders, with some deliveries pushed to late January. The rollout widened to 28 more countries on October 30. Then on Monday, in the first earnings call under new CEO John Ternus, Apple came in ahead of revenue expectations.

Either way the yield is paid, and the rate is locked the second you deposit rather than floating with anything.
Think the foldable cycle has further to run and you'd buy a dip? Set the price you'd buy at. Think the beat is already priced in and you'd sell into it? Set the price you'd sell at. The vault doesn't need you to be right about the timing. It needs you to name a price you'd be happy to transact at, which is a far easier question than calling the next move.
What You're Signing Up For
Three things, stated before the rate rather than after it.
Settlement is read once, at expiry. Not the moment the price touches your level. Apple can trade through your number mid-tenor and close back on the other side, and the vault settles as though it never did.
Your deposit stays in place for the full tenor. The rate holds because the position does, that's the trade, and it's the whole reason a fixed yield is possible.
And the closer your price sits to where Apple trades today, the higher the yield and the higher the chance you end up on the other side of the trade. Those two move together, always. Pick the price you actually want, not the biggest number on the screen.
